Kirby York (john Wayne) commands troops at the Mexican border and one of his new recruits is his son, Jeff! Soon his estranged wife Kathleen (played by Maureen O'Hara) arrives to take Jeff but home but he refuses as he knows his duty. Things become tense when he joins his father on a dangerous mission to track renegade Indians. Also star Victor McLaglan and Ben Johnson.
