This modern creation is a 54 card set representing the 1970s TV series.
Alan Virdon (Ron Harper) and Peter Burke (James Naughton) are astronauts who crash back on Earth 2000 years into the future where man is ruled by apes. They are considered dangerous to ape civilisation by Dr Zaius and are due to be executed but they are saved by a renowned chimp called Galen (Roddy McDowell). They are relentlessly hunted by General Urko (Mark Lenard) and his gorilla troopers. The trio make their way through the region and encounter apes and humans both good and bad.
Each card represents the main characters and those who they encountered through the 14 episodes of the series. The story of each character is told on the reverse of the cards.
