This is an 18 card set.
John Wayne plays gun for hire Cole Thornton who turns down a job for Bart Jason (Ed Asner) as it will mean going up against old friend Sherrif JP Hara (Robert Mitchum).
Other men are hired to do the job and Cole knows trouble is heading his way. All he has is Mississippi an enthusiastic kid (James Caan), Old Indian fighter Bull and Hara who is now a drunk. All the while he carries a bullet in his back that may just finish him anyway.
The story of each character is told on the reverse of each card.
