Calvin Bouchard (Lou Gossett Jnr) has a dream of opening an underwater theme park. 
Working for him is Mike Brody (Dennis Quaid) the son of Amity sheriff Martin.Mike soon realises that a monster shark has got onto the park and they race against time to stop it killing the visitors.
Philip FitzRoyce (Simon McCorkindale) has a plan to destroy it but may have bitten off more than he can chew!
