Along the way he meets a host of characters including the brutal Sgt Hartman (Lee Ermey), the troubled Pyle (Vincent D'Onofrio), the aggresive Animal (Adam Baldwin) and the Alabama Blacksnake wielding Eightball (Dorian Harewood).
