Loxi (Paulette Goddard) is torn between Sailor Jack (John Wayne)and Lawyer Tolliver amid the storm ravaged Florida Keys in 1840. They are all caught up in a pirate scam involving the crooked Cutler family that ultimately ends in tragedy.
