This is a set representing the 1944 War Film The Fighting Seabees and tells the story of the formation of the Naval Construction Battalion. A unit born out of the recklessness of Wedge Donovan who gets his workers killed in a firefight with Japanese invaders. Learning from his mistake his men become trained soldiers and a force to be reckoned with. Also stars Susan Hayward.
